Good morning!
I am off of work today and headed out to do some duck hunting with my Nephew Nick and my good buddy Fred. Time spent with those guys and of course a good cup of Door County Apple Cobbler Coffee is priceless.
Did you ever notice that the person most people want to hang around with has a cheerful personality?
You like to be greeted by them. They are welcoming. They pay attention to you. And you feel better after you have spent time with them. I have been blessed to know many people like that. The Bible has a lot to say about being cheerful.
Proverbs 15:30
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.
Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
If we are to love one another as Jesus commands, shouldn't we work to spread cheerfulness whenever we can? Read the verses above again, They make you think of someone or they put a smile on your face.
Cheerful people live longest here in our hearts.
So spread some cheer, share a smile, a compliment, a word of love, a word of comfort, a word of thankfulness or a hug.
If it is in the Bible it is important!
