Take It Personal 11/9/2025

 Good Morning,

I am sitting at my my desk in our den with a very hot cup of Door County Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee and it is time to write.

Jeremiah 17:7-8  7.

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.

8. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out it's roots by the stream, and does not fear when the heat comes, for it leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.

I was informed on Friday evening that a long time prayer request of mine was answered in a great way. I am not at liberty to share the details right now. But I have been praying for months that God would answer my prayer and He did. It really is a miracle.

It is Sunday morning and I am still in awe that this answer to prayer came at a time when I really needed to see a miracle.

When I hear of such miracles and how God answered a long time prayer I can't help but to smile and know that God cares and answers prayer in His way and in His time. It is not always the "yes here it is answer I desire". There are those prayer requests that are answered with a No. I sometimes struggle when the answer is no. I then have to go back and learn to be content with accepting that God has a better plan and trust that His answer of no is His desire.

I keep journals of my walk with God and when the answer is no, I write it down and at the end of the year I review my writings. I often see how the answer of no was better for me than what I thought it could be.

"No" is at times a bitter pill to swallow. But not every medicine tastes good. Yet a bitter medicine may just cure a sickness. An answer of no, often times saves us from calamity and provides spiritual growth.

So my challenge for all of us today is to trust in God even when we think we know best. In reality only God knows what is best for all of us.

Love to all on this November day.

Marty
