Today I will be officiating a funeral for a church member and I really don't know him all that well. I worked with the family to learn more about him so as to make the service more personal and not just a generic feel better moment. From what I learned about him in our brief meeting makes me wish I knew him better. In that short time I could definitely tell that he loved the Lord, was a family man through and through, and was a friend to many.
So for today if I could see and hear all of those great character traits in an hour or less, what would people be able to say about us? Would they have to dig deep for something nice to say or would it be easy for them to say something and fill a ledger with kind words?
Today you will leave a mark on this world, and tomorrow as well. Your world consists of family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers you will meet. In a short minute what could they say about you?
