Good Morning,
The aroma of my Door County's Blueberry Cobbler Coffee has filled our home with the essence of fruit. It is a good way to start the day.
Now and then I will come across a recipe for a dish that I would like to make for my wife and I or guests. I have always tried to make sure all the ingredients are present before making the dish. I haven't had much luck substituting ingredients when I was lacking one or two of the main ones. The dish just did not turn out all that great or it hit the trash can shortly after tasting the results.
Matthew 5:23-24 NKJV Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24. leave your gift there before the altar and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.
There are times in life when we might need to apologize for actions committed by ourselves toward others. And then there are those times when someone owes us an apology for what they said or did toward us.
The recipe for a true apology has two main ingredients. They are Humility and Action. A humble person who wishes to apologize, comes to the table of forgiveness not making excuses for their actions. A sincere humble apology includes sorrow for what was done. Acknowledgement and ownership of the entire offense is a must. Humility does not expect to be forgiven and accepts the results of their offense.
The second and final ingredient to an apology is action. Was action taken to prevent from committing the offense again? Is there true action toward making a change in behavior? Is the action consistently being witnessed and applied to the personal improvement needed?
We will look into accepting an apology and forgiving tomorrow. That being said. Have a great day!
Marty
