Good Morning,
It is still dark outside as I begin to write. Sitting next to me is a hot cup of Door County Chocolate Cherry Coffee. On the floor next to my chair are our two Springer Spaniels Leo and Gibbs. It is time to write.
Photo credit U TubeI went right to the kitchen when the alarm went off this morning. In the dark I could see some activity at our bird feeder. As a matter of fact the amount of birds feeding at the bird seed emporium was quite substantial. The birds were feeding early for some reason.
My wife Rene always says that if the birds are in a hurry to eat and eating a lot, the weather is going to be different or nasty. She isn't an ornithologist but she reads a lot and so I trust her thinking and theories. I do believe that the birds can sense a weather change and that impacts their eating habits.
I also am one who trusts in the Bible and what God says about birds.
Matthew 6:26 Look at the birds of the air, they neither sow nor reap, not gather into barns. and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Now if God cares about the birds so much that He sends them signals I also believe He cares for us a lot more. The Bible is the inspired word of God and has been given to us to guide us daily. It is also a source of wisdom for all situations. It is also like a balm for burns when we hurt.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for teaching, for correction, and for training in righteousness.
Matthew 4:4 But He answered, "It is written, Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of the God."
So my friends dine on some of the word today and if God leads you to read more than usual He might be preparing you for something to come.
