Good Morning,
Here comes Monday and it is moving in quickly. I just poured a hot cup of Door County Heroes Blend Coffee and it is time to write.
Acts 2:46 Every day they continued to meet in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts.
On April 20th we will observe Easter Sunday. For my wife Rene and I, we have always observed Easter as a celebration of the resurrection of Jesus. Usually we celebrate with a nice dinner which is a little nicer than usual. Rene's mom and brother will be joining us this year and I look forward to that time.
One thing I have learned about dinners, fancy or plain, they are meant to be enjoyed and dinners are a gift from God. One of the best ways to enjoy a family meal is to leave the world at the door. For an hour or so, leave politics, family troubles, finances, and differences at the door. Close the door on sadness and strife. In the first few years of our marriage Rene, our daughter and I used to work at making and serving Easter breakfast at church. The process started the day before and it was a blessing to serve others. Maybe your dinner might be an egg sandwich eaten in a hurry as you serve dinner to the homeless. But close the door on the World and allow God to bless you at your meals during Easter and throughout the year.
Many people will have a table dressed to impress and then ruin it by allowing the world problems, or grudges to be present during dinner.
It's your dinner, why not enjoy it?
Marty
Amen!✝️❤️🙏
