Good Morning,
I am sitting at my desk and from what I see outside my window it looks like the sun might not show up today. It is dreary, humid and damp. So my cup of Door County Amaretto Coffee is doing double duty today.
Titus 2:7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity and dignity.
In a company that produces for instance, automobiles you could easily say that all combined there are many, many parts and components to a finished product. The engine alone has a multitude of parts, which includes screws, washers, nuts and bolts. The steering column has wires running through it as well as mechanical parts. As a manufacturer, the company likes to see the auto or truck start and run once assembled. And even a if a small part is missing it might just do that. But eventually the missing part will show up in a malfunction and the new vehicle will need to be repaired. It's at the moment when the service technician tells you your vehicle is repaired and it was broken because of a missing part, you start to wonder about the whole company and what else might be missing on your car or truck. Your confidence in their quality is shaken.
It's the same way with all of us. Miss one ingredient in a recipe and what would have been a beautiful meatloaf, turns out to be ok, but not that great.
It is important to pay attention to the little things in life and strive for perfection. You might say, this is a bit difficult. Yes it is. But remember 'little eyes" are sometimes watching. Your children, grandchildren, nieces or nephews are watching you. They will see the mistake not made right. Or the shortcut, you take and if it was good enough for you, they will suppose it is ok for them to not fix their mistakes or do a good job the first time around.
It's the little things that we mess up, or miss, that can steer a young life or wrong direction. We make mistakes for sure. But we should correct them and teach from our mistakes to always go back and correct them, not ignore them. We should strive for perfection at all times, especially in front of little eyes. But also remember, God sees, and knows all that we do too.
Just a "little food for thought". Have a great day.
Marty
