What a morning it is. Two different pots of Door County Coffee were made today. one was Cinnamon Sugar Biscotti, and the Other was Jingle Bell Java. It was a very early start.
Rene and I were blessed to be able to serve breakfast to a small group from our church who are headed out on a short term mission trip. The team assembled in our kitchen and we fed them some pancakes, sausages and eggs. They had on their matching shirts, and you could tell that they were ready to go. They already looked a little tired, but their enthusiasm was high.
Romans 10:14-16New King James Version (NKJV)
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
I titled this "Beautiful feet " because I know where they are headed, how hard they worked to get there, prepared to be there, and what they are giving up to go for a week. They have denied self and family to serve the Lord fully for this week. To me, they are champions of their faith, true servants of God. They are the beautiful feet that God speaks of. They will be blessings to many, including each other.
What do you say? Can you give God a week of service? Can you deny yourself, to bring hope and the Good News to others? How about praying for these guys for the next six days?
Have a great day. You are loved.
Marty
