Good Morning,
I am up and at it this morning. A hot cup of Door County Highlander Grog Coffee awaits me in the kitchen. Thursday arrived and I need Friday to be here.
I have been burning the candle at both ends lately and it is taking a toll on my energy and disposition. God has created bodies that are wonderfully made and He has wired us in a way that let's us know when we are tired and need rest. He doesn't back off with the warnings of being too tired either, Yawning is one of those warnings. Another one is when we have heavy eyes while in a meeting or while driving. Those two alone should be warnings enough for us to slow down and rest,
Making simple mistakes while performing routine tasks is another sign. Then there is the "Crabby Factor". Our disposition changes and we are more impatient and vocal than we normally are, God does not stop with the warnings until we rest.
Psalm 127:1-2 1. Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.
2. In vain you rise up early and stay up late, toiling for your keep, for God grants sleep to His beloved.
Don't ignore the signs of being tired. God is talking to you. Get some rest.
Marty
