Friday is upon us and I for one am headed to work with a Thermos bottle full of Door County Cherry Crème Coffee and a heart full of hope.
Mary Twain once said " Everybody is a moon, and has a dark side which he never shows to anybody."
This is a profound statement and can be answered with a question. Who are you when no one is looking?
Are you the one who vows to be faithful to your spouse in front of a church full of people? Then are you the same one who considers a little flirting to be harmless? Are you the one who lines up for a pay check and wishes it were more, when you spent three hours of company time goofing off instead of working? Are you the one who eats a few grapes while shopping? Your thought being "they won't miss a few. Are you really sick when you call in or are the fish biting? Do you go to church on Sunday and then talk about the preacher and what a lousy sermon it was on the way home? Do you take all the condiments at a restaurant home with you, because they charge too much for a burger? Do you mess up and own it, or blame others?
My friends, the world is lacking something these days. It's called personal integrity. Who are you when no one else is around? Can you be trusted to work unsupervised? Is your cell phone an open book to your family? If your computer could talk, would you want it to?
Proverbs 21:3English Standard Version (ESV)
3 To do righteousness and justice
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Who are you? Are there two sides to you and one side you would not want to be seen?
Food for thought???
Love to all.
Marty
