Good Morning,
The Door County Peanut Butter Crunch Coffee is going down easy this morning. It is a good source of comfort.
If you are a steady reader of my blog, you know that my wife Rene and I were on vacation for the last week and a half. Our trip took us to Canada and Alaska. We really enjoyed our time and appreciate all who helped with dog sitting, grass mowing, travel arrangements, watering the plants, shuttle service, and prayer for us.
What we did not count on was to come home and have contracted Covid as a final surprise of the trip. I broke down two days ago and Rene followed suit yesterday. We are both down and out and I guess the trip hasn't ended.
I find myself once again being challenged with a "Practice What You Preach" scenario. We are doing everything the doctors have told us to do and resting as much as we can.
If I were advising someone else who was going through a mess like this, I would pray for them and remind them to pray also. "Eat some soup, and drink plenty of fluids, but most of all pray." Praying is exactly what I am doing.
1 Peter 5:7 NIV Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Have a great day.
Marty

Your church family has both of you covered in prayer for a quick recovery!
ReplyDeleteMarty,
ReplyDeleteThe new word for covid is a horrible, bad, awful cold. The word is to strike fear into the heart and take hope from a person with the awful feeling of the cold.
Jesus and your Saturday night crowd are interceding for your return to health.
I am not saying your works back to you, but I am sure that you know which ones i mean it starts with “s.
You are loved. We need you back on Saturday for prayer service.
Marty and Rene,
ReplyDeleteWe are keeping you both in prayer, our LORD has you in his hands, He will comfort you.
