If Jesus Were A Love Song 11/12/2017

Good Morning,

As my Dad used to say. " Rise and shine. It's daylight in the swamps." My day started with a cup of Door County Dublin's Delight Coffee, some prayer and ride in the Old Ford truck.

I listen to my share of Country Western Music and a lot of the tunes are love songs that strike at the heart. But most of them have a theme of a broken love, someone was left for another, all the money is gone, or I'll just drink until I forget.

Psalm 98:1-7New King James Version (NKJV)

A Song of Praise to the Lord for His Salvation and Judgment

A Psalm.

98 Oh, sing to the Lord a new song!
For He has done marvelous things;
His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him the victory.
The Lord has made known His salvation;
His righteousness He has revealed in the sight of the nations.
He has remembered His mercy and His faithfulness to the house of Israel;
All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth;
Break forth in song, rejoice, and sing praises.
Sing to the Lord with the harp,
With the harp and the sound of a psalm,
With trumpets and the sound of a horn;
Shout joyfully before the Lord, the King.
Let the sea roar, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell in it;

Now if Jesus were a love song, the theme would be of everlasting love, sacrifice for others, eternal hope, sharing, caring, support, a light in the storm, friendship, guidance and family.

No break up, no broken hearts, or drunkenness would be in the love song of Jesus.

The melody would be one that stays in your head and you want to hear the tune over and over again.

As a matter of fact, I could use a love song today and that song will be time spent with Jesus.

How about you? Do you need a love song today? If so, dial in heaven on your spiritual radio and spend some time with Jesus. It will be a symphony for your heart and soul.

God bless,

Marty
