Baby It's Cold Outside. Take Care Of Yourself. 11/18/15

Good Morning,

Let me start with this. You are important! So I pray that your morning beverage is tasty like my Door County Harvest Blend Coffee is.

Proverbs 3:24
If you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.

It's that time of year again when it gets cold and damp. This is flu season which often turns into pneumonia. Colds and sore tonsils seem to thrive during this time of year. When God made us he wired us so that we would know when we were tired. It is a gift to us. God tells us when t is bed time. Like little children who argue with their parents declaring loudly that they are not tired and do not want to go to bed, we adults do the same thing with God. He tells us through our bodies that we are tired and worn out yet we stay up a little later for television, work, shopping, surfing, (the internet) instead of following his orders and obeying by going to bed and resting.

I want you to do something today. Make a list of those people who need you and that you are important to. They count on you to take care of yourself so you are around longer on this Earth.

Mark 6:31
And he said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a desolate place and rest a while.” For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat.

Take time to eat right. Use enough time so that you do not have to rush through a meal. Share it with someone and eat slowly. You are worth it. Someone wants you around longer.

No one on their death bed ever said I wished I would have worked more or what's trending on the net

Spend time loving the people God placed in your life. But also spend enough time loving yourself by resting and feeding yourself properly.

If you need to take medicine when you come down with something, don't wait.

1 Timothy 5:23
(No longer drink only water, but use a little wine for the sake of your stomach and your frequent ailments.)

God bless you all. Be well. Be rested. Eat your Cheerios!

Marty
