When You Have To Let Go. 2/9/2016

Good Morning,

A big hello to the world today. I wish all of us could meet and have a cup of Door County Raspberry Butter Crunch Coffee and some time reading a Bible. I'll bet our differences would be less in an hour.

Today, members of my church family are saying so long to two of their family members who enlisted in our military. One leaves a wife, parents, and siblings the other leaves his parents and siblings. They have received a call to protect our country. I am honored to know them.

So this morning the families will all be at the airport to say farewell for now, and begin anxiously waiting for their return. There will be hugs, kisses and I am assuming some wet eyes. But eventually that will stop and they will have to let go, wave to the plane and go home.

So today I am in prayer for all of them as they navigate a change in life. But I know this family and long before I finish praying for them they will have turned this over to God. They will call on Him for comfort. They know where to go and will head there without delay.

1 Peter 5:7New King James Version (NKJV)
casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

There comes a day when we all have to let go of someone for a long time or a short time. God knows what you are going through. Cast that care upon Him. Let Him provide you comfort through prayer and time in His word. Now a little bit of advice, when you see others going through these times of change, pray for them, be kind and give words of encouragement. It's the right thing to do!

Have a great day. Share something good with someone!

Marty
