Good Morning,
The Hazelnut Creme Coffee in my mug is just what I need to start the day off with a big dose of gusto.
There are times when we all want to help when calamity takes place in the lives of others. We refer to the lasagna recipe that is always a nice meal for someone who's life is a little sideways. I have been the recipient of a few of those nice gifts. Just recently we were gifted a big pot of Goulash at a time when eating or cooking just was not on my mind.
Isaiah 6:8 "I heard the voice of the Lord, saying. Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me."
Friends, it is very often that we can see the hand of God in a pan of goulash or lasagna. Kindness extended through a pot of soup, the willingness to do a load of laundry or babysit is basically sending yourself to the situation. We pray for people to be healthy, secure, and healed from a boat load of troubles. And never once did I see God make a pan of lasagna. He uses others to show love and compassion. He uses you. In some of the great disasters it is the local church that reaches out to organize, sooth souls, and assist others. It is neighbors showing the love of Christ to one another that brings people closer to each other.
Our faith in God is number one, yet He puts the boots of others on the ground when needed.
Food for thought!
Marty
