Time For A Recipe 10/4/2018

Good Morning,

Rise and shine it's time for a cup of Door County Tanzanian Peaberry Coffee and some thoughts we can share.

Later I will share a recipe that I like and we use now and then. But I want to lead off with why I use recipes. I can't always rely on my memory to help me recall all the items that go into making a particular dish. Missing one ingredient can change a culinary masterpiece and turn it into a dish fit for the trash and trash only. A recipe gives us step by step instructions on how to complete a time tested kitchen truth.

That makes one wonder why, as we head into life everyday we often forget the most important ingredient. That ingredient is God. He needs to be the cornerstone of our lives. His Word is the mortar of the bricks we stand on.

Deuteronomy 8:3 New King James Version (NKJV)

So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord
It is amazing. We have only one life to live and we wonder how mistakes happen and we see no hope. We didn't make God the object of our love and our obedience. We missed the main ingredient to life, and that is God. So today instead of making a mud pie out of your life, how about adding the right dose of God and have a life worth tasting.

Have a great day!

Marty
