Are You Scentless? 11/21/2018

Good Morning,

May the day be kind to you and your road be one that is less traveled. I just sat down with a cup of Door County White Chocolate Cinnamon Dolce Coffee and a piece of toast. I am ready to write.

Eesians 5:2 New King James Version (NKJV)
And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and has given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

A hunting dog has to rely on his nose to find game on the ground, especially heavy cover like a thick island of cattails. Some birds when they fly a long way, before landing, temporarily lose most of their scent, making it difficult for a dog to find them. They are scentless and go unnoticed.

What aroma do you leave with people after spending time with them? Are you uplifting toward them? Do you build them up? Are you complimentary? Are you seen as appreciative? Are you lighthearted and approachable? Do you make a positive difference with those you encounter. Are you considered a pleasant fragrance or are you more like ammonia. You clean up well, but no one enjoys being with you. Or are you scentless? Or do people seek you out desiring to have you around?

In order to be a sweet fragrance to others in life you need to walk with others in sacrificial love as Jesus did for us. Our love for God leads us to walk in a lifestyle that is a pleasing aroma which glorifies God.

Lay down some scent that has a positive impact on lives. Your actions directly reflect the greatness, the power and the love of God.

Food for thought.

Marty
