Taking a Chance

9-18-12
Good morning! Real early start for me. Sad to say "coffee on the run". Hope your cup is tastier.

— Psalm 27:14 —
Wait for the Lord;
be strong and take heart
and wait for the Lord.

From this verse we can see two things. We must wait on the Lord. And waiting often takes strength. Waiting for anything is never easy.
 God leaves nothing to chance. He does not place a decision before us with the hope that we'll make the right choice. That would be irresponsible and out of character.
Yet, He asks us to wait. Why? Because with time He shows us the right choice and the correct path.
Waiting is not being passive or lazy. Those who wait are usually in prayer, possibly fasting, and still serving the Lord.  This takes strength. And as we exercise our strength in waiting we become stronger.
We become better at not rushing into things and then cleaning up our messes.
God bless,
Marty
